Audubon and Edward Lear just don't quite cut it when you're researching birds for that Chinoiserie mural you've been asked to paint. Yeah, those guys could paint, but they're just not exotic enough. ReplyDeleteI was born in Taiwan (and have family there)...I had NO idea the native birds were so colorful. I adore the chartreuse ones with the white ring around their eyes, and the fluffy one in the last pic. Lovely photos!
